Please, somebody straighten me out on this subject.

I'm looking at wakeskates. I see the Cassette 45 Flat has 2.0" of rocker. Doesn't sound very flat to me. When they say it's a flat deck what do they mean?

When a skate is "flat", it still has a rocker. A "flat" deck means the top is flat excep for the rocker curve. The opposite of flat is concave. A concave deck's top is more contoured and is better for tricks (I don't wakeskate, though, so I can't really tell you why or how).

a flat skate would be horible i would think

bluefish pretty much said it, flat/concave has to do with the curve rail to rail not tip to tail.

off topic but where in oregon do you ride?

bluefish86 Thanks! Very Happy I'm feeling much more enlightened. I have a 42" Flat (now that I know what that means.) I really don't do any difficult tricks or anything. In fact, I just rode the skate for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

DRAGON88 I usually ride in the Willamette at Newberg with the wife and kids. Early in the season we hit Hagg Lake since it warms up a little earlier. It was 56 deg. three weeks ago. We usually go out on weekday mornings.
