Please, somebody straighten me out on this subject.
I'm looking at wakeskates. I see the Cassette 45 Flat has 2.0" of rocker. Doesn't sound very flat to me. When they say it's a flat deck what do they mean? _________________ -Pumpkin Head |

When a skate is "flat", it still has a rocker. A "flat" deck means the top is flat excep for the rocker curve. The opposite of flat is concave. A concave deck's top is more contoured and is better for tricks (I don't wakeskate, though, so I can't really tell you why or how). |

a flat skate would be horible i would think
bluefish pretty much said it, flat/concave has to do with the curve rail to rail not tip to tail.
off topic but where in oregon do you ride? _________________ wakeboards

bluefish86 Thanks! I'm feeling much more enlightened. I have a 42" Flat (now that I know what that means.) I really don't do any difficult tricks or anything. In fact, I just rode the skate for the first time a couple of weeks ago.
DRAGON88 I usually ride in the Willamette at Newberg with the wife and kids. Early in the season we hit Hagg Lake since it warms up a little earlier. It was 56 deg. three weeks ago. We usually go out on weekday mornings. _________________ -Pumpkin Head |
