| i'm thinking about a 6 foot up section a 25 foot flat and then a 4 foot kick so once it built about 30 feet once the bends are subtracted |

I used an oxgen acethylene welding set to heat my pipes to bend them. Dont put the flame directly on the pvc keep it away enough to make it go soft and get a friend to pull it in the shape you want. As soon as it cools it will go hard in that position. Have a look at my flamed half rainbow it was done that way _________________ www.wake.com.au |

are you trying to bend the pipes that you will be sliding on? I don't think you would really need to do that. With a dragon, you will only be hitting it from one direction, so you could make the pipe sort of overlap.
Heating pvc pipe will help it bend just make sure you heat it up slowly and over the entire area to be bent. Don't just heat up one spot, or you may end up with a kink instead of a bend. _________________ The answer is D - All of the above. |

| I used a combo of a uv heat lamp and a heat gun to bend mine, but as pretty much everyone is saying hest at least a foot on either side of where you want the bend. |

me and my buddy just built a half-rainbow slider...we were too lazy to build any sort of protection around the ramp up, so we are probably gonna die...but i guess we'll see soon enough...by the way, skobi1, how wide is your slider there? looks as if its just wide enough for 2 barrels _________________ Get Frugally Green!

| Bingo, Tyler. I built the slots for the barrels one half inch narrower than the rims of the drums. Other than that its just the width of the 2x4's wider. It is plenty stable for riding, but it goes by to fast I wish I would have added at least another 8' section. Whitch I probably will do this winter. |

If you can't bend it, just make an angle like we did, this one is 15 degrees. I prefer the bent ones, but this is a lot easier to do.
(Sorry about the size by the way. Check the site for instructions and more pics) _________________ Terminate high thinking |

I like the criminals idea, its way to much effort to bend. But if i cut the PVC at an angle and attach them to make a trap like slider i think the angle might do a job on my board and the PVC is to thin to sand down. What should i do??? _________________ If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because,

well i hit a hitch with the slider....couldn't find anything to float it on......but hopefully i will find something soon
i experimented with bending pipes and i just had a little torch type thing kept the flame away from it aways and after awhile i slowly bent it and it worked fine....now as soon as i get the floats i'll be in business |

You need to buy angle joints (15 degree works well) and glue the pipes into them. Then sand the top of the joints down or build the pipes up level with fiberglass. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

skobi1, could you please give me the measurements for your slider that is posted in this topic. Also how steep is the angle that you can ride on to the slider.
