so your just getting your left ear pierced? its not big deal, it doesnt hurt at all. its feels like someone pinched your ear lobe.
are you going to keep it at the guage your getting it pierced? i got mine pierced as a 18 guage, an i am down to a 4 guage right now, and i plan on going down to a 2. i got my right ear pierced also a little while after, that one is only guaged to a 12 right now.
just get one of those huge *blingin'" earing that make your earlobe sag, IMO it looks stupid. _________________ Religion. The poor man's alternative to expensive sports and sporting events. - Dave W |

I don't know what to tell you, but 4gauge is more permanent than a tattoo. Tattoos can be removed. 4gauge holes can't be replaced.
By the way, I have 10gauge in both ears. Piercing ear lobes doesn't hurt much at all. It's a pinch, and it's over. Stretching them is another thing, though. _________________ my demo reel

I have both my ears pierced, except I don't wear earrings any more. I got my ears pierced the summer between 8th grade/freshman year of h.s., so, for about 6 years now. I took them out my senior year of high school and haven't put them back in since, don't know why, I guess I just grew out of it. The holes are definitely still there though.
In my opinion, if you're gonna pierce your ear(s), just get them both done, not just one. _________________

Just about every year I get cauliflower ear and have to have it drained several times with a hypodermic needle. Maybe I'm just a baby, but that hurts somethin terrible. _________________ Get Frugally Green!

Tyler~Moore, Why?
nick e[V]ans, Cauliflower ear is from getting the outer ears rubbed/irritated. You see that in a lot of wrestlers or rugby players in the pack position. |

Your ignorance is astounding...no, that is definitely not the case. Thousands upon thousands of straight men (me included) have both ears pierced. _________________

Man, you guys need to STFU and not turn this into a hate thread. If you think ear piercing is gay, you're about as ignorant as the next hooded person. _________________ my demo reel

Ok...My gf is not pressuring me. she would like for me to get it done. but it was my choice.
Im not getting both ear pierced cuz my friend is getting both and i dont wanna look like him. Later on i might get both, i dunno.
Im leaving it the same guage. ima stick with 18...
I never thought it was if you had your right ear pierced. i thought it was right ear only. But that might not be the case anymore.
Those of you who are acually helping out saying some usful stuff. THANKS
those who are saying certain stuff is gay. please stop so the thread doesnt get taken off. I know i said you can say negative stuff, but dont assotiate certain piercings with different sexual prefrences. _________________ www.Shadrack.com

I have a pair of hoops w/ the ball connecting them. I was considering the horseshoe w/ the balls at the end, but I think the hoops are more conservative, in case I have to meet clients or business partners. _________________ my demo reel

I'm about to get both ears pierced, and im straight, just cuz u have an ear pierced dosent mean you like dudes or chicks. Now im not saying certain people dont pierce their right ears if they are "that way" but I'm pretty sure thats only if its only the right ear...correct me if I'm wrong. _________________ www.americanboatcenter.com

hahaha ...yes i have to agree with jumalian and m3orion. having both ears pierced does not make you gay or symbolize that you're gay. i have both lobes and my upper left cartilage pierced. i have hoops with the connecting ball in the lobes and just a regular hoop in the cartilage ....damn stud kept catching on my pillows when i would sleep.
id have to say that the gun hurt more than the needle, even tho they didnt really hurt ...its more a slight pinch. if you get those little pussballs in your ear, theyll ooze out through the holes. thats the only negative effect of having them ...at least for me, just means i have to clean them once a day. _________________ sing goddess, of the anger of achilles, son of peleus |

HEY! I used to have a "real" professional job, and I don't think anyone really cared if the guys had piercings or not.
Hmmm.... Wait a minute. Did I ever have a "real" professional job? Hmm.... Suddenly you're making me reconsider everything Dlady. I don't know. Maybe you're right.
I'm having a strange day. Starting to reconsider my reality. _________________ How do you apologize to a friend for something like that? Flowers would not be enough. |

jumalian, about a year and a half ago, i had 6's in my ears. and i had to take them out to work at my dads law firm. they closed up. i re-pierced them about a little more than 8 months ago. i think it took me like a month and a half to get back to a 6.
03Belmont, piercing with a needle isnt that bad, just stick it thru quickly, the slower you go the more its going to hurt, almost like a band-aid. i have only had my left ear pierced by a "pro" or whatever. and the rest of the piercings i have have been done with needles by me or one of my friends.
if your gonna use a needle make sure and put it over a lighter, or some sort of flame to sterilize it. and also if you can get some of that ear alcohol cleaner from a place like Claire's, i didnt use it much, but it can help reduce the chance of an infection. _________________ Religion.
