XBox, i got bored look at it now

hey guys i got a little bored staring at the green part of my xbox here it is now

dude---that looks so much better than the green---what did u use....spray paint...touch up paint for cars??????

first of all i heated it up with a hair dryer to make the glue soft, then i pryed the jewel off (careful not to snap it in half) and i sanded off the green paint with sand paper. After you sand it there will be alot of scratches but when you paint it you wont be able to see them. And the xbox letters are imbedded into it so when you sand it you dont have to worry about sanding that part. If you want i will do it to yours too.

i want to do it ......but i don't wanna mail it to minnesota and then back---i'll take a go at it on my own---what type of paint did u use???

i used colorplace paint (walmart 97 cents) and then i used sandpaper. buy the package that has a variety of gits, becuase use the course to get most of it off and then use the fine to get the rest off.

also after you take the "jewel" off there is some goo where the only way to get it off it by picking it by hand.

be sure to use about 3 THIN coats or else it will look bad, and tape the edges and top so you dont get paint on the top part.

Nice job-I did a few things to mine with green tape etc. I was a little afraid to paint it-but I may give it a shot.

We have some xbox modders up on here? hehe, i have a xbox with matrix chip, but im upgrading to a x2lite soon. any one else on here have a modchip?

i don't know what a modchip is but some guys i play halo with just got a 100 gig hard drive installed on their x-box and some program to where they can burn a game on to their hard drive. just rent the game rip it and it's yours. it's pretty sweet.
