Gas Springs.... Miniature... ????

Seems everything these days uses gas springs for tailgates, boat storage hatches, you name it....they are everywhere.

I need one that is only about six inches long

Anyone got any ideas on this quest?

On the Malibu, the head unit is under the arm rest and would like to install a small gas spring to pull it up and stay up, then down and stay down.

Chime in....I've drawn a blank so far.

DiyGuy check out McMaster Carr @ mcmaster.com they have a lot of different shocks and the ball fittings.
