should i get a byerly 137 or a premier 140

well i've got the byerly 137, but i haven't ridden it. i think i'll like the extra pop and personality

umm, why don't you just use the einey-meiney-miney-moe method instead of asking the people on here?

Seriously, you should go demo the boards and then decide what you like. If there is no way you can possibly demo, then you need to give some more info on yourself, like how you ride, what boards you have ridden before, what you like about the board you ride, what you want a board to do.

Or you could just pick the best graphics.

what are you looking for in a board. cuz the byerly has a bigger three stage rocker and different fin setup and stuff

You are asking about two totally opposite riding boards. Personally, I like the loose feel of the Premier without the center fin. I think the Premier is a design that appeals to alot of different riders. Good pop! I have ridden the Byerly a few times and each time I rode it, it was a giant turd! A super slow mellow board. The board definitely did not fit my riding style- at all. I know alot of people that kill it on the Byerly. Which goes back to what everyone is saying on here- DEMO DEMO DEMO. Take people's opinions on boards and gear lightly. Ride what feels good to you, not what's popular or not on an internet forum.

ok do you see the results of this poll? good. dont pay any attention to it cuz its pretty much worthless. just cuz everyone likes the premier (or byerly) doesnt mean you will. that being said, i personally like my premier 135 with the fin removed more than my bro's byerly 137 dna.

if u like a lot of pop, like a bucking style go for the byerly, i have byerly 137 and i absolutely love it, it kicks u so high everytime dude, its rated an advanced to expert board though because it does take some getting use to all that pop if u haven't ridden big 3 stage rockers before, i haven't ridden the premier, but i've also heard really good things about that, and it seems to work good for danny, so ya definatley demo if u can, everyone has different taste in boards, so ya never know, peace

Advice from other riders can be benificial, but it rarely is on here b/c nobody really has worthy input to add to their opinion. Saying 'get the premier' gives the reader nothing except letting them know that you like the premier. Well b-f-d! I like oreo cookies.

I will offer something to avoid hypocracy-
The Byerly has a more agressive pop off the wake, its great if you can learn to control it but it can make for some painful spills if you can't. The wake jumps from the Premier will be much more consistent, and it does have good pop. The Byerly will feel stronger when its on edge, and you will feel the difference in pop (or should I say superiority) when you hit the wake. I would ride them both if a purchase will eventually be involved.

I bought a 200 Premier at the beggining of the 2003 line, but I haven't tried it yet.

I have ridden a 2004 Premier 140 DNA and a 137 Byerly DNA....two totally different feels...The Premier is MUCH more forgiving on your landings....It was a good board to learn alot of tricks, but it is a slower board...even with the center fin off, its still slower than the Byerly..The Byerly has more pop, I dont care who you ask, i have ridden both, and it kicks you alot harder than the Premier..The premier is more of a gradual launch...But with the Byerly, if you dont have your landings down, you will slide out over and over...All in all the Premier was perfect for me in my intermediate statges, but I am selling that board, and getting the Byerly...

Just my 2 cents....But those are honest opinions after riding both boards...

lol EVERYONE is missing a key point here. HOW big of a kid are you?? if your 5-5 110lbs, you should be more on the 124 premier, if your 6-5, 220, ride the 140 premier. then if your looking for a more consistant pop, go premier, if your looking for better pop but not as consistant, go byerly, if your looking for better edging into the wake buy byerly, if your looking for better snowboard feel, buy permier, but alot of people are right, DEMO!!!!!!!!
