Liquid Force / Obrien Update
Product Update.

The Deal: As many of you have heard, Obrien and Liquid Force have closed the factorys doors while ownership finalizes deals to purchase the brands / companies. We feel that this is a strategic move by the corporate office to encourage potential buyers of the company to finalize deals to purchase the company.

Our Take On It: This isn't the first time we've been down this road. Change isn't bad.....new owners provide new vision, new enthusiasm and innovation. And the brands usually come back stronger than ever! We believe in Liquid Force and Obrien, their products, the creative minds behind the scenes, the riders / skiers, and are confident that you will see good things to come! The quality of the 2003 lines and sales has been fantastic and we are committed to continuing supporting these companies to the best of our abilities while they are in limbo. Bottom line, the Boards and skis are great.....and work!

What's It Mean To You: We have 2003 Obrien and Liquid Force, and Cassette Products in stock, ready to hit the water and we are moving forward as planned. Many of our competitors have chosen to turn their back on these brands, not sell them, not offer any warranty on them, and walk away from the companies. We choose to do just the opposite. We believe in the product, the creators of them, and the athletes who support them. They are our friends and part of our extended family. So, Going Forward: Performance will honor Obrien and Liquid Force factory warranties for items you purchase from us for one year from the date of purchase.**

Right on!
More shops should stand behind those two great companies! Even though they are going through hard times right now, I'm sure they will pull through and come out on top!
I respect what you guys at Performance are doing! Hats off to you Bill! Wink

That is a load of crap...Performance doesn't stand behind any brand beside hyperlite...i promise you if you go into performance and asked for any brand other than hyperlite the employees will steer you right back to hyperlite. DON"T BUY INTO THIS!

Maybe they know something we don't and steer you in the direction with the least problems? All I know is that Bill Porter is one of the originators and has been around since the beginning. He has done more for this sport than anyone I know and should be praised for standing up for Liquid Force! No offense LickerPig but being someone that has probably met Bill, you are being harsh!

no offense lickerpig, but i've talked to bill many many times and he has always been nothing less than helpful. for instance i ordered the 03 byerly wakeskate last september and they were supposed to be there that week. when hyperlite decided to pull them back and redo them, he offered me a discount on any other wakeskate. he showed me some of the cassettes that they had. but i stuck with the byerly though (i don't like grip tape, and it doesn't like me Rolling Eyes

). they had my buisness then and they still do now.
