what is the make and model of that truck?

Both of those are Holden Commodore Utes, The Commodore is a family sedan over here in Australia, but I has a LOT of faces, such as the ute's, and the HSV (racing inspired) versions. The 2 door coupe version is known as the Monaro, and is being sold in the US as the new Pontiac GTO.

Kinda weird that those 'trucks' are basically modeled on the same platform as the new GTO huh?

Ute's have been around since the dawn of time in Australia, but I don't think they are as popular in the US.
