Ok, I admit it. I am an old fart that is not hip about the current sound systems. I guess just using the word "hip" proves that I am not!
I just bought a 2003 Tige 22I-R. The fellow I bought it from raved about the stereo system he had installed. It looked and sounded great to me, but I really had no idea what I was looking at.
Can some of you audiophiles out there tell me what I have? On a scale of 1-10.....How does this system look to you.
Clarion XMD3 tuner
MTX Thunder 895 Amp
Jensen 400 watt amp
Audiobahn 12" Subwoofer
Some other 6" Subwoofer
4- Boss B50 tower speakers
Varios Clarion speakers throghout the boat
What do you think? |

Decent setup. I'd give it a 7.5 _________________ (insert funny chit here) |

Not a bad system all in all, but I'd seriously suggest replacing that awful headunit. And to help you with your new unit (and lessen the clutter in your garage) I'll take the Clarion off your hands for $50. Let me know where to send the money.
All joking aside, your system looks pretty good. How does it sound to you? That's the $10K question with any stereo anyway.

Sound is a personal thing so if it really sounds good to you then it is a really good system. My last boat had all Walmart / eBay components and the entire system was under $600 with head, sub, amp and speakers. It would not compete with any of the serious systems you'll see in wakeboard boats but is sure souned good to me.
As a "over 40" club member a word of advice - just change hip, awesome and cool to sweet, sick & phat and we dont sound so outdated _________________ Founder of Monster Tower Wakeboard Towers
