I'm thinking about buying one. How would you rate the wake?

It's a pretty nice wake when weighted correctly. I used to run 550#'s (?) on either side of the motorbox and it threw out a really nice intermediate/advanced wake, and was even better with another sac in the rear storage. I had a 2000 Mobius, which is the same boat just with a differenct jelcoat and the tower. The wake had a nice transition and a good lip. (I think I rode at 70' behind mine).

The Outback LS hull is the same as the Mobius hull. Moomba changed the hull design in 2001. Before then, the hull of the LS was more like the current Outback hull. It had less of a dropped keel. The 2001 and 2004 hulls on the Outback LS and Mobius LS are the exact same hulls (better for wakeboarding). I have a 2001 Mobius up for sale right now. Check out the classifieds.

I have one that is for sale, a 2000, It has 500lb ballast built in. I think the wake is pretty good, some people have compared it to a newer air nautique, but i havent been behind one so I dont know. I use the 500lb ballast and then usually put a sac in front of the engine to even it out and its really nice. A few people always helps too. The boat is pretty shallow so I dont think its possible to get an enourmous wake. See Pics of the boat Here: http://www.midwestmilitia.net/2000_Moomba/index.htm
