Would you fight the hands of time surgically? I've been thinking about whether I want to opt for it in the future or grow old with lines. It's much safer now and it's not nearly as expensive as I thought it was.

Well seeing that I'm only 20, I'd say no. But if they came out with a drug that magically stopped hairloss and regrew hair...I'd be all about it.

I'd get a boob job. I only want to go up one size so its kinda pointless. that and the only way i'd do it is if looked real. IMO Fake ones are just nasty feeling.

I agree DP. The ones that look so big that they look like they're gonna fall over, simply looks hideous.

| The ones that are HUGE and dont have enough skin over them and have the strange grove around the base of them, now those are nasty. (i dont really know how to describe what i'm thinking) If i had a boob job and i came out looking like that i would demand the Doc fix them!

Any girl that gets 'em that big and think they look good, are blind of the truth.
Oh well...to each his/her own, I guess.

| yeah, the ones that are so big that it stretches the skin and you can see the veins. gross. Plus, with the falls that I've been taking lately on the water, I'd definitely pop them.

My mom just got her eyelids/forhead tucked, it got rid of the bags under and above her eyes and wrinkles on her forehead, it healed perfectly in 3 weeks. She said the pain was minimal, she just had to take lots of cortisone and eye drops and use lots of ice packs. The difference is very noticeable, very clean improvements, and its completely normal looking. It looks like it took 'years off her life' but it was just a mild surgery, nothing wrong with that!
Her health insurance covered a decent portion of it bc the doctor uses some loophole saying the excess skin can impair vision.
Excuse my lack of medical knowledge but my ex roommates dad is a big plastic surgeon in Cinci, his firm patented some new surgery where they remove the top layers of skin off your face and speed the healing process, it removes all the fineline wrinkles and gives you a cleaner complexion, less blemishes and pores.
Pretty interesting, and that stuff will keep getting more popular and more practical. I remember when bleached teeth was only for rich people!

Lipo--hell yeah, if I had the money, I'd do it tomorrow.
Facelift--no, but I may change my mind 20 years down the road. There's something off with faces that have been lifted IMO, too tight. Botox is a no because I like to be able to make a variety of facial expressions.
Breasts--I think mine are pretty great now and I don't want them to change, so I will be getting a lift after I've had kids. I think as long as you stay within your body proportions, work with what you've got, and get a good surgeon implants can look really good.
I think plastic surgery is a really personal thing and I don't believe it's just a vanity thing. If there's something about your body/face that you really don't like that impacts your confidence and there's something you can do to improve that, then why not?
Surgery is definitely better than it was, but it still has risks. My parents know a guy whose wife went in for an eye lift, there were complications and 24 hrs later she was dead.

I have had my boobs done and so I would have to say yes.
But I only went to a mid to full C and it looks really natural on me - my dr was really conservative too. No one can tell at all, which is how I like it - I didn't want it to look like canteloupes stuck on my chest - that just looks nasty IMO.
I am only 26 so no thoughts on facial work yet. Haven't ever thought about lipo because I have always been pretty petite. As you can tell, I am definitely not anti-plastic surgery!

It all depends on the type of Surgery you're talking about,
Lindsay is right about the vanity thing too.
Just remember if you do decide on Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery, you're going to have to be willing to deal with the out come as well. There are no guarantees when it comes to altering your body.
Jim M, It's probably something along the lines of laser resurfacing.
I had augmentation done almost 3 yrs ago, I'm still not use to it either ( 34c/36b). Already had the definition but just didn't have the mass. It does make it alot nicer for clothes, but it's a pain in the upper back/neck. Can't work out much either.

It would be tough to wakeboard if you kept toppin over because your boobs were to big...I do enough face plants, I don't need surgery to help me out. Maybe in 20 years...but even then I am hoping to have a young, hot, beau around to keep me looking young....

I wouldnt do cosmetic surgery at all. You people are already perfect and do not require any changes (I know Ill probably get the rainbow smily for that one). Those who say it isnt vanity arent being honest. Clothes fitting differently is vanity as well as confidence boosting is. Im not saying a little vanity is bad either, but that IS the sole driving purpose being any cosmetic surgery that isnt for medical purpose. I think the risk is too high for the reward. And what is the reward? More looks in a club? Feeling like you look like what society says is attractive? I can honestly say that more than half the people I know who have had cosmetic surgeries have had complications, esp with implants. Dont do it, you guys are beautiful the way you are!!
And for those of you who have done it, this isnt a knock on you at all. You guys look great as well (obviously speaking in general since I havent seen most of you). I do believe that anything you gained from your $8k investment, you could have got for free.
Now, for some reason removal surgeries dont seem as intrusive as add-ons, in my mind. Just a wierd bias I guess.
Heck, Im so wierd about messing with the body, that I dont even have a single tatoo! Go figure....
K Dub, you think after your surgery you will have enough skin leftover for a pair of size 14 boots?

jason.....I should have enough skin left over for 3 pairs of boots. I'm hung like a walrus right now.
I'm shooting for the size of an average black guy.

NICE
Well, Ive seen the rare pics of you, and you had no reason for low self esteem before hand, either. but, whatever works for you.
Not that its any of my business and feel free not to answer, but did you have any of the complications like numbness/loss of feeling etc that many have?
