Dish Network loses Viacom channels...

Over a measly $0.06 more per subscriber that Viacom has requested.

How many of you out there just lost your Viacom channels like MTV, Comedy Central, some CBS stations, Nick, and Spike?

I've got Comcast Cable and they were running readers across every channel all last night about this. Sucks for people who have dish!

Yeah it's been scrolling across my screen the last couple of nights that all those channels would be gone and if you wanted them back to call some number... Good ol' regular cable here, didnt lose any channels

I can see both sides to the story. No big deal to me ( Dish Net ).

I though by law they had to carry local channels though. I think this is Dish's big beef.

My wife has already arranged to have Survivor taped - even though we have a regular antenna TV in the basement.

scott a, Got a good deal on them on Ebay, you can find anything on that site.

Edit: we dotn get cable ALL for free, we still pay for basic cable, you have to for these boxs to work.

Speaking of black boxes, I used to program my satellite cards to get all the channels... I can't find a site anymore that has the scripts.. anyone know of any?

churchy, One of my friends does that.... he gets porns for free and everything... but I think my friend put a chip on his dish..... I will ask though

03Belmont, ya, I used to get like 900 channels including all the porn and PPVs.. Direct TV has since shut down my source for getting the files I need. If your friend uses Dish Net, then he may have to use a chip or something, but on Direct TV, you just reprogram the card.

after watching Chapelle's show last night I watched The Daily Show, Jon Stewart brought it up and described how this is the very thing that happenend in Haiti, "they took away their Spongebob, and then things went haywire". It was a pretty funny bit. Glad you guys got your channels back, Chapelle was funny.
