| It shouldn't. Most pylons are 7 or 8 feet, and don't rock the boat unless the rider is actually trying to. |

Yes to both. I have a ski nautique and it most definately rocks it in the way you describe. A tower helps offset this slightly. But its a fact of nature. Narrow boat, high rope attach point, boats gonna rock. On a Ski Tique, a pretty good amount too.
This dosent mean you shouldnt put one on. I am just answering your main question. You should still add a pylon.

| It will definitely rock. Nautiques have that small V in the middle of the hull which causes them to rock more than most. Thats why SN 2001s are more susceptible to weight shifts and rock more than anything. I don't think the Ski tiques had such a pronounced "V", which means it will rock less. However, the upsides are way bigger than the downs. Go for it. |

Get the 6'. That way once you step up to a bigger boat with possibly a tower/taller pylon you'll be that much better. We have a 6' on our 2001 and it still rocks it, anything taller would look stupid as well. _________________
