i am not really sure somewhere between the length of 10 and 20 feet. just something easy to get in and out of the water when i am not using it _________________ "Don't wait for 6 strong men to take you to church."

| The orange square is my house. I live in a bay community where you can't wakeboard due to the size and docks. Any ideas on a slider I can build for cheap to tow out to the lake? |

I had the same dilemma a couple of years ago and this is what i did. I made a 10 foot flat bar that is really easy to carry out into the water and sink in the bottom, from there the height is adjustable so all you have to do is pull a couple of pins and raise it up. Unfortunately i dont have any photos of it right now so i cant post those, but once i get home i take a snapshot for you and put them up here.
I used PVC pipe for my surface and it worked fine but fiberon works too. I would also recommend making it longer than ten feet because when you are going about 20 miles an hour when you hit it you will maybe be on it for half a second.
If you want i could draw up some plans, just let me know. |
