Perfect Pass?

Whats the cheapest you can buy a perfect pass pro for? and how easy of an install would it be in a 94 prostar 205 with a 305chevy 275hp tbi engine?

Hey, Alex, I have an almost identical boat except the hull is pale grey, (yours looks white) and mine has a Chevvy LT1 329.

What sort of tower is that? I note you have your rear seat in place, do you use any sacs in the boat?

Let me know how it goes with the p/p if you do get one and decide to install. I've ben mulling that over myself but a tower is my priority, hence the question.

i'm pretty sure that wakeboardpro is around $1000, and perfect pass (the all-around one w/ ski, wake, jump, etc...) is $1200.

I think I have the exact same boat also. I installed PP Wakeboard Pro in summer 2002. I took my time with the installation and it took about an afternoon. I paid $1099 shipped from PP. IMO, it is worth it and would do it again. Let me know if you have any qustions. How do you weigh your boat? My next boat project will be some type of auto ballast system.

I installed the PP Wakeboard Pro on my Volvo Penta 5.0GL back in January. It was so easy, I figured that I must have screwed it up some how. I just took the boat out last Monday to try it out and WOW! it worked flawlessly. The hardest part for me was pulling the trigger to drill a 2" hole in the bottom of my new boat!

This question comes up about every 6 months. Regarding price, I believe your best bet is to call PP themselves in Canada and get it from them. It seems like nobody really gets a break on the price. Off ebay I would be concerned about guarantee, support, etc. Although, great company, probably no problem on second thought.

Re: installation, I installed mine on 1997 MC 205. Read directions carefully, take your time, and you can do it no problem. Mine worked like a charm from day one. With drilling hole in bottom, they give great instructions with pictures of your exact boat/engine/carb set-up. EZ. Drill pilot hole down, then big hole up. No sweat. Get a snake to "snake" wire up to dash.

Yea, my hulls is white, with the blue and fade red (pink) very ViCe City Looking Smile

. I now have a fat seat in the back and a 350 up front. The tower is the Zero Flex Flyer the one used on the older Xstar made to fit these boats. I dont think ill be doing pp cause its $1000!!! heh, and i just dont have that money right now. BUt just coming back from the bay, and having my dad drive i kinda wish i did Sad

, but o well, at least up in orlando most people i ride with know how to keep the speed decent.

i got mine from the person on ebay (snorklepuppy) a few weeks ago for $850 shipped. Of course i was stupid and didn't see that she has the ones with the 5" display when my MC needed the 3.5" display. Luckily i found someone with my exact opposite problem so we traded display modules and i'm all set to install it whenever i get a chance.

Is wakeboard pro and digital pro the same but, digital pro has more fuctions if I buy digital pro will it work for wakeboarding and slower speeds or is it mainly for skiing and is there a limit to the highest/lowest speed you can put in both.

Pumpkin Head, So true about the drilling part. Actually the hardest part for my installation was running the cables and wires under the floorboard and it wasn't really that bad!

Check out wakeboard cruise if you want to save some $.

Alex - I spent some time at the w/e looking at towers and measuring up my boat, potentially for a custom tower. Going back to your photograph, the rear legs of your tower are a long way forward. In fact, the distance between the front and rear legs is very small compared to most other towers I've seen.

The rear legs of most towers would attach behind the screen either on top of the deck or at the side.

With such a narrow "stance" front to rear, have you experienced any gel-coat problems due to stress around the rear mounts?

yep sure have, seems the people who desgined those towers didnt really understand force, only one foot has minor gel coat cracks, the dealer said not to worry unless they start getting bigger, its been 1060hrs, and no change ....
So im not worried, but yea its a pretty dumb desgin.
