My B-530's are in and now I'm looking at amps for my system. I've looked at the Phoenix Gold 600.4, MTX and Concept amps, but damn is it hard to compare all of the makes. I really want something that will drive these babies and boost my other speakers that are wired at 2 ohms. I would love to see pics of where you mounted your amps as well, especially Supra owners. Come on Spring!!!!!!

I would also recommend the Phoenix Gold Tantrum 600.4. If you want even more power, then get two of them and bridge each one for 300 watts per channel. The B-530's are wired at 2 ohms and your others are connected in parallel to make 2 ohms. The PG 600.4 can handle a 2 ohm load all day long. Many other amps can't hold up to this.
Wakeside.com will be done with a whole new boat audio line in a couple of weeks. We will offer:
Amps:
Phoenix Gold
Rockford Fosgate including the power series
JL Audio
MTX
Subs:
Infinity
Rockford Fosgate
Kicker
JL Audio
Components:
MBQuart
Kicker
Infinity
JL Audio or Crystal
Heads:
Sony
Pioneer
You can already order all of this stuff now at great prices but you will need to call in until we have all of the products live on our website. Same Wakeside Awards Program will apply to all boat audio stuff plus free freight and no sales tax.

| What do you think about the Fosgate Power 750X or the Orion XTR 800.4....Im going to be running a pair of B-530s and a pair of B-60s...I dont feel the pheonix can push both of these sets, it probably couldn, but I think it would be maxing the amp out, and would eventually wear it down.....Any other 800 watt amps out there that are capable of multichannels? |

If you really want a lot of power, you can take the Phoenix Gold T600.4 and bridge it down to two channels. You will then have 300 watts per channel. If you use two T600.4 bridged, then you will have 4 channels of 300 watts. The B-530's are wired at two ohms. The Phoenix Gold T600.4 or the Fosgate Power 750X can handle that load. I think you could get by with just one 4 channel amp.
First choice is Phoenix Gold T600.4
Second choice is Fosgate Power 750X _________________ Improve your ride |
