Ok, this is from this last summer at Lake Chelan in Washington. I jumped off of a 95+ foot cliff and barely cleared the rocks below. When I came up the rocks were within 5 feet of me.

Dude, you get my "Bubb Rubbing crazy" award for the night.
How did you get up there? Had you seen someone do it before? How many girls were in the boat? I don't think you fit enough girls in one boat to get me to try that. |

Well, now I know why you did it. Young hotnesses all over!
I'm guessing you had some choice words flowing through your head during the fall. |

I was 18 at the time, I'm 19 now and we met those girls the night before. They are all very attractive. We are still friends with some of them today. We got drunk on the beach that night and fooled around with two of them...some had boyfriends.
It was a VERY steep climb up. Very dangerous just getting up there. It was nearly vertical. There were a couple times where I nearly fell. No one else jumped, but when I got to the top I had attracted attention from around the lake and there were about 10-20 boats parked there watching me. _________________ Alaska: Where the men are men and the women are men. |

nah, they were staying at the same resort, but had gotten there days earlier. They left the next day, but we continued to see them throughout the summer. _________________ Alaska: Where the men are men and the women are men. |

That was nice. There is a cliff in the Lake of the Ozarks that's about that high. I'm not ballsy or dumb enough to dive off of it though. But I'll jump off any cliff. Very nice listen2cky. I'll have a vid for ya in may or june.
Oh, btw, if anyone ever dives off anything, lock your hands together or you may dislocate your shoulder....speaking from experience. _________________

That was some crazy sh*t dude!
I've done 30-40 foot cliffs - that's big enough for me. A guy I worked with in the summer used to be a professional cliff diver dude - the guys that do it in shows in like las vegas. We went cliff jumping off a 35' or so cliff - we get up there, he goes "alrite, check this" - turns around backwards, does like a triple backflip off with a 540 or something crazy like that, and lands perfectly in the water. I was thoroughly impressed.
And yes, when cliff jumping, keep your feet together, point your toes down (on impact curl them up towards you), and don't flail your arms. Ballsmacking can HURT from those heights... |

| My brother in law builds prosthetics. He builds 10 to 15 back braces each summer for parapalegics who thought it would be fun to jump from high places into the lake. |

Sweet jump listen2cky! Not 95', but damn high nonetheless! I loved jumping bridges in high school. We used to jump into the Merrimack River in Concord, NH from about that high - well, once...and that was plenty for me. I stood there for about 10 minutes before I jumped - you got balls to step up and hit it so quick! We did 30-35' pretty much every other day.
Tbonez, good for him. He'll always be in business. |

| Dude that's crazy!! I've done 60 before at Deep Lake in Washington and that was more than high enough. They have 120's and 180's and someone always dies every year doing the 120. |

no it was 95, they had markers all the way up every 20 feet or so. 95 was the highest part of that rock because the rock started going back into the mountain and you wouldn't be able to clear the gap if you tried to go higher. _________________ Alaska: Where the men are men and the women are men. |

it hurt my feet and ass a little, but I swam away fine with no injuries. I'd go higher...maybe up to 115 or so but not on that rock again, i landed too close to the rocks. _________________ Alaska: Where the men are men and the women are men. |

It looked like you had to jump pretty far out there to prevent from hitting the bottom of the rock...it think the highest thing ive jumped off of was about 50' but thats it. _________________ if it takes POOP to make bliss then i feel pretty blissfully -modest mouse

| It's cool that you did it. I whine about a 20' rock at our lake. The difference between adventerous and stupid is living to brag about it. And anyway, it's not bragging if you CAN do it. |
