Heyonegamefreak,
1) Familiarize yourself with this forum so you can Search for stuff 2) go to the video clips and watch all of the beginner clips and any others that strike you as cool (like all of 'em). Get a good mainline and handle and preferably try to go out with someone who has driven/pulled wakeboarders before. You might want to invest in Higher Education - it's a great teaching video...
Be patient - don't expect too much too quickly - get the basics down sooner rather than later (like riding switch)
Most important - have fun and Welcome!

If you know little to nothing yet about wakeboarding, now is a good time to get Higher Education. It explains the terminology and basics really well. |

have fun dont worry about stuff too much. if you dont get up the first time you go thats okay. if you have any experience from skateboarding or snowboarding that will help out a lot so you may want to get the feel for just riding those if you are able to before you go wakeboarding. search the forums for info about getting up and edging because there are a lot of threads on those topics. |

Actually, it can be rather hard getting up the first few times you try. But after you get the hang of it, it's second nature. _________________ If my above post offends you in any way, simply ignore it. If you do not know how to ignore it, complain to me in a PM and I will show you how. |

When I was learning how to wakeboard from my brother, I kept getting a lot of advice, but I could never get up. Then we went out and bought a new board (CWB Dragon Slayer), and I got up on the first shot, so sometimes the right board helps. Although it might have been the new confidence of getting a new board. Just a thought. |
