|
|
Well i've never purchased a boat before. I went to the Detroit Boat show today and sat down and got some numbers an a 2004 Mobius LSV. The base prive was $30,995, is this negotiable? They are giving away 4 free options of which i choose the "3 year bumper to bumper warrant", stereo upgrade, hydrolic wake plate, and boat cover. plus i added a transome remote, and swing-away tounge.
Total price for boat = $31,335
Is this a good price? I have to make a decision before Sunday. Thanks a lot. _________________ Brent B

| 03Belmont: It's the LSV, not XLV. But still, the price sounds good! |

Thats a Good price, If you really bought the base boat, with a swing away tongue and transom remote, it seems as if you could of got another grand or so. But I'm in a area that doesn;t move boats like crazy. Unless of course you price in out the door.
Is your new boat a special order or one sitting on the floor? a boat that base is odd.

That is a new boat ordered from the factory. I can add more options if i want. Estimated delivery is 6 to 8 weeks. _________________ Brent B

That's a great price. Moomba's are priced similar to Saturn's. There just isn't a bunch of margin in them, so it's very difficult for the dealer to come down much without losing his ass.
But I'd say you're getting a fair deal. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

I would agree now knowing that the boat is a order not a Boat show model.

Well i made the jump and purchased a 2004 Yellow Mobius LSV with Hydo wake plate, 3 bag ballast, board racks, CD MP3 Player, Logo Cover, and water strainer. I've never driven any inboard except for an 03 Outback LSV. I actually think that is a good thing, cause this boat was the only boat i could afford. Now i'm ready for the 18 inches of snow and 17 inches of ice to melt off the lake. _________________ Brent B

saturn had the highest overall 'profit' margin a few years ago. i'm not sure about now, but it was like 18% then. higher than any other make.
i saw that boat show special in the supra/moonba booth at the boat show. nice incentives. you could pick like four out of eight options. skiers choice had a lot to offer and sold a bunch of boats. 10 moonbas down one row and 10 supras down the other side. all but three or four sold. |
