I'm looking to trade in my 98 Correct Craft for a large wakeboard performance towboat. I have 5 in my family so I'm looking at 23-24 ft. boats since we usually have a couple of extra riders and hit the big lakes. Which boat has the best wake for the price and handles the best? I've driven all 3 and I'm having a tough time deciding on the best package. Surprisingly, the Tige 24V was tight in the turns and seemed solid. If I choose the Tige would you recommed a balast system? The boat weights 4500 lbs. and has the taps system.

both the 22v and 24v boats have massive wakes when weighted. I'm going w/ an aftermarket ballast system, mainly because I dont like rigid tanks (take up too much room when empty, and I'm looking for more weight). I've seen the 24v, been in one, but not behind one. As you know the boat is massive, by our standards. It is going to throw a mean wake weighted and unweighted... just depends on how big you want to go.

All great boats, I have only been in the bu and loved it. I would go with the closest dealer with the best reputation. Just my opinion, I love my Malibu and my dealer is great to me!!!

mcasas, I had the same needs- I got a Moomba XLV Gravity Games- you should check out- I suppose it doesn't have the finish of the boats you mention, but it doesn't have price tag either

I looked at all and bought a WS LSV. MC was not as versitle as the WS and over priced. Tige did not impress me with fit and finish, also they seem to have a new dealer every other year in my area.

I've had my Malibu for 2 years and would buy the same boat again. The MLS and wedge give you alot of wake shape options.

If I were you, I would go with a new Tige if it is your budget for a boat. Though I know little of Mastercraft's and Malibu's warranties, I do know that Tige has the best warranty in the history of wakeboard boats. If there is any structural damage to your boat, such as rot and decay and things like that within i think 10 years of your purchase, they will give you a NEW Tige and $10,000.00 for the inconvenience. Dont quote me on that, but that is how I remember it when watching the dealer DVD.

what about the wake? Did you test drive when weighted? I have the same questions, with the LSV weighted how does the boat turn? I have a friend that has the X-30 & it takes half the lake to turn if the boat is weighted. Puppy Eyes I would agree that the BU has a awsome style, clean lines & of course a sweet wake.

Simmswake,
If you know nothing about MC or Bu's warranty, how can you say that Tige has the best warranty. Anyway, MC warranties there hulls for life. Engine for five years and upholsty for (I think) three years. FYI.

I just looked for sure at Tige's warranty, and their lifeplus warranty is also for as long as you own the boat, and is transferable before 10 years of the first owner, is MC's warranty for a new boat, or to fix the hull? Tige's is for a BRAND NEW BOAT + 10 thousand dollars. That's pretty good if you ask me, better than MC's (depending on your response) Also, ill check on the engine and upholstery when my dad gets home from the shop. 5 years on the engine and 3 on the upholstery is pretty good, we'll see what tige's is later.

Thats minus the 10 grand. They had the Lifeplus 10k warranty in '03 only. Still, its a damn good warranty!

I believe they have offered it on 04' models now also. I will get back to you on the complete details of their warranty.
