To anyone in the midwest building a slider

I just stumbled on a gem while going through Menards the other day. (if you don't know what Menards is then don't read any further) Anyways all menards stores had an old style saw (for chopping lumber) that needed to be elevated so everystore built a long hollow Treated wood box with treated plywood on top. The dimentions are 14'5''x6''x12'' It will be located outside behind the chop saw, this store's was screwed to the wall. I got the box for $5 and then bought some damaged 2" foam (2 sheets $4 total) and cut the sheets and fit them inside the box to make it float. The top is 12" wide so I can put some decking on to slide. the best part is the whole thing so far has only cost me $9. I'll post pics when I'm done

thats money, i dont really understand what your talking about but i live in the midwest and i'm building a slider so when you post your pics, i may just have to replicate that idea

I find it funny that people in minnesota and wisconsin consider themselves in the "midwest." That's north people. Any farther north and you're in canada.

oh and for the record, the midwest consist of Illinois, Indiana,Wisconsin,Minnesota and Iowa,...Kansas and Okalahoma and the rest are just Bufu
