Hey. Here is my new boat that I bought 2 weeks ago. I finally got some pics developed. Included is a pic under the ski platform. It has a stationary wakeplate, not the hydraulic one. Does anybody know how that will effect the wake? Thanks.

| does anybody know what the stationary wakeplate will do for my boat? Also, with the hydraulic wakeplate, if it is flat, what will it do to the wake, and if it is up or in between how will if effect it. thanks.

It's a cavitation plate.
basically, what it does is force the bow of the boat down when up to speed. Alot of companies that use them, put them on thier hulls because the boat has a tendency to porpoise. The plate will keep the bow from bouncing up and down at speeds just above wakeboarding speed. It also causes the stern of the boat to ride slightly higher in the water.....so you will need some extra weight more than likely.
-the Tige Taps system is just a glorified version of what you have.....-

hell ya its cold, still need to fix/setup the perfect pass on it (wasnt workin right when we took it out 2 weeks ago)
I surf, im used to the ocean, with a 3/2 wetsuit, i jumped in that lake to wakeboard and 15 min later i was numb, PP said it was 42 degrees, so *technically* ive been out for one set, but i was too cold to do anything

ahhhhh, that explains it!
Calero is around 55-58 right now, depending on the area of the lake...

| i have the hydraulic wakeplate on my launch ssv. the hydraulic wakeplate gives me the advantage of adjustment on the fly, as with yours, you will have to find your sweet spot and leave it there. if it helps you any by adjusting the plate perpendicular to the hull the holeshot will be great and the boat will not porpoise at 24-25 mph. the downside is that the wake will not have a lip, instead it will be very rounded. if the plate is inline with the hull the holeshot will not quite be there depending on how you set up your ballast assuming you have some. i would recommend from my experience that you leave the plate 10-15 degrees from parrallel and place a 650 fat sac in the walkthru or if you have the hippo system fill the front bag and leave the rear bladders half full. if you want more advice on how to set your boat up for a huge wake let me know. i run about 3500 pounds of ballast in my ssv between the water ballast and hidden concrete bags. the wake is huge with a nice lip. good luck and enjoy your boat.

Dude your new boat is so freakin tight and that price sounds incredible. How did you find that boat??? I guess you sold the Bayliner then? I love the color and the boat looks great. What school did you decide to go to and what major did you decide on? Is it still Engineering???

This is not a wake boat but with a fat sac and a 19 pitch prop trimmed down it throws a pretty good wake.
