Anybody have wisdom teeth out...

guys and gals i just got my wisdom teeth out....and man ive seen some of the best weather come through while i was resting....it sucks.....but the doctor did give me some really good painkillers....i take one and it knocks me out....pretty fun. well later.

I had mine out about 2 years ago. It was really bad right after they were removed. The next day the pain was alot better. I was off the pain meds in about 3- 4 days.

The acctually surgery wasn't all that bad. I was completely numb and awake. The problem was when the numbness wore off and prior to my pain meds kicking in.

If you leave grab the pain med and take them ASAP you probably won't feel a thing. If you do feel anything don't hesitate to take another one.

i got mine out like a month ago. i didn't mind at all, it was actually quite enjoyable for the days afterward!

haven't had my teeth removed---but i can relate to the pain medicine----i had pins put in my arm last winter after i broke it and my doctor gave me 2 perscriptions for lortab(the extra was for if i ran out) so my mom got both at the same time and that stuff works---ur always happy when u have those in ur blood Surprised

I was completely knocked out during the whole operation. I woke up before we left, but don't remember a thing until about 2 hours after I got home. Percocet is awesome. I was eating normal food by the next day. No big deal.

Ok, who says it isn't that bad???

I was down for more than 1 week and then still the 2ed week was hell as well. I used up all my sick days for the whole year in one shot... I was only suppose to be down for 3 days.

I was put out for the operation too, but too bad the dentist cut up my face.
It is 3 monthes later and you still see the clamp marks on the corner of my lips. Rolling Eyes

It's not bad at all. My mouth didn't even swell up and there wasn't much blood at all, it was fun. When the surgery was over I was stumbling and tripping all over the doctor's office. The drugs they give you are so good, nothing beats morphine though when I broke my arms.

When I got mine out 2 years ago, it was a very funny experience, only because I woke up and I realized I was in a different room and couldn't stop laughing. The nurse had to give me a pain killer and I slowly shut up and was knocked out. It is a fun experience. Trying to walk out, and you can't! haha. Very Happy

I got mine taken out about 10 years ago. All I got to say is don't go out drinking and smoking two days after you've had them pulled. You will get the dry sockets and it sucks! I had to go to the dentist every single day for over a week or so I could get some stuff put on them to ease the pain/swelling all because I couldn't resist a night on the town.

Haha i made a post on this before! I had mine out in thanksgiving all 4...It was a pain in the ass!! My best friend ryan was there with me and he thought it was funny that i couldnt walk after wards...my face was swallon for 1 and a half weeks I had the first week off for break then I had to go back to school and it was horrible! Kinky I will agree with you It wasnt fun the dentist said its differnt to everyone tho... and what dosnt help is I didnt get my pain medicine till 2 days after cuz k mart sucks!!!! haha but i got to keep my teeth! Smile

how old r most of oyu guys...im only 16...so i guess i dont know when mine r coming out..cant wait for the drugs though..the dentist is the best, especially when you get root canals

i had them out during Xmas. it sucked. i couldnt' get the codiene fast enough. i had laughing gas though. that was really cool. i also saw LOTR 2 after. it was trippy b/c all the codiene. i still don't remember most of it. i was on a liquid diet for a weeks and soft food diet for another 2. it sucked. i still have holes in my mouth. they had to chip it out and it hurt like a bugger.
