I was wondering how long your kicker is? would 6ft be long enough. I'm gonna make it 4 ft tall, but the length is the tough part. Also, what is easier and/or better to float it with, barrells, or foam. Thanks a lot.

I've got mine about 90% complete the measurments are around 5.5 ft tall and 12 ft long. I have 4 barrles under the ramp and I plan on filling them with about 600 lbs of water to keep it steady in the water.

Some times it gets pretty challenging to find enough styro foam to flaot it though

Ours is 7 & 1/2 ft tall, 12 ft long. WAY TOO SHORT.

It's quite useable, but a longer transition would definitely give the old knees a rest and give more time to prepare for launch.

I think you will want 8 ft x 4ft if that's the sort of height you want, and both barrels or styro are fine, I prefer barrels for this application but whatever you can lay your hands on should be fine.

yeah, 15 ft would be much better, although I'd even aim for 18 If I could, 7 1/2 ft is a HUGE kicker, the smoother the transition the better.

4ft x 8ft sounds nice.

I'm building my first ramp so I'm not a pro yet but. I choose barrels b/c I wanted the capability to add water weight to the front and back to change the angle/transition of the ramp if needed. Also I think with weight in the barrles it will sit heavier in the water and weather waves better.
