for a direct drive centurion, wouldnt it be better to have 500 in the center, 400 in the back and 200 in the front instead of throwing a 750 in the back and maybe 400 up front? What would you recommend.... Putting the 750 in the back and not having the weight on each side of the engine would give me alot more room for stuff... its 22'6 so ill probably just get the side sacs, the wake has to be better with weight spread out rather than putting a 750 in the back, i think that could throw off my wake.
Let me know what you would think if you have time.. Take care _________________ Got premier? |

any people weighting their direct drives give me input!! I would much rather have a 750 in the back and 260 or 400 in the front (under seats) , i want my floor space, but i also want the best wake form _________________ Got premier? |

| I have about 1000 lbs. in the back of my DD Prostar 205 and about 500 in front. It shouldn't matter whether the weight is in the middle or in the back and front as long as you have enough in front to make the boat plane out. Just remember, the more weight you have in back compared to the front will give you a steeper wake, whereas the more weight you have up front compared to the back will give you a more rampy wake. |

| Why dont you just try em both out and see what you like. I have an Outback and when we first started weighting it down I had 2 350's beside the engine. Needed more so I got a 650 and put it in the trunk, really didnt like it all that much so I got rid of that and got 2 more 350's and put one in the trunk and 1 in the bow and it hooked us up pretty good. I like having the smaller sacks so I can move them around to see where they work out best. |

Basically I want to avoid putting sacs next to the engine, I need the room for stuff and people. I want to have a 750 in the back that way its perm, i can use the same ballast switch and pump i already have installed, then put about 400lbs of lead up front under the seats, and I am set. I can fill the boat with people, stuff, and not have any visible sacs... When I get to the lake drop the boat in i just flip the switch on and away i go[/u] _________________ Got premier? |

I got a full size sac in the trunk (550 or so) and 300 in sand in the bow. I've added two full size sacs beside the engine before, but I don't want to give up any floor space. It's a PS 205, just add people and the wake gets real nice. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

| I would put 600's on each side of the engine, a fat seat in the back, and at least 500 in lead up front. The people can just sit on the fat sacs |

| Yeah I understand I dont have much room either, its just that beside the seems to be the best place to start putting weight (considering just the wake). |
