THAT PARTY ENDED WHEN MARTY McFLY LEFT. I'm sorry I went last year but I won't make that mistake twice. I almost didn't go to Waketoberfest in Texas and am sooooo happy that I made that trip. If you can only go to one festival this year and it's not Boardstock or Wakestock, DON'T MISS WAKETOBERFEST, last year was my 1st time and I won't ever miss another. IT WAS OFF DA HOOK!!!

| last year it was like the 1st or 2nd weekend in October in Austin, Tx it was perfect 80 degree weather. I've been to LSF every year and the event organization just stunk last year. the only high lite was the place with drive thru frozen drinks. the 360 wakeboard club in Austin puts on Waketoberfest. I tried to look up some more info for you but there site is under construction.

Waketoberfest is usually the first or second weekend in October. It is held on Lake Austin @ Ema long park and the pier. Basiclly just an F'ing good time. Bunch of boats, bunch of brew, bunch of people hanging out and boarding till the night becomes day.

A lot of people camped there in tents, campers, and RVs. I'm married and like to skip a lot of the party life, but the singles and younger couples seemed to be having a blast around all the campfires.

Ok here's $.02 from someone actually from the Monroe area, and I've attended every LSF there's ever been. Marty did a great job with LSF, hands down, no arguement. However, anyone who doesn't think that Jeff did a better (or at least as good) job is insane. yeah, last year sucked, but only due to the weather. The river was high (uncontrollable), it was windy (uncontrollable), and it was cold (uncontrollable). The overall atmosphere was more visitor friendly. Last year there was more area for people to park their boats, there were more reps on site, there were more companies represented, there were more freebies at the raffle, and on and on. LSF is a great wakeboard festival for everyone. If you want to party all night you can camp on site and party. If comfort is your thing, there are several hotels within a short driving distance from the site. Hotels and restaurants are overabundant in the Monroe/West Monroe area. Ok, enough selling LSF. LSF has been and will continue to be a don't miss event for all wakeboarders.
As far as the questions go: Monroe and WestMonroe are basically the same town only divided by the Ouachita River. Hotels are available and Campsites are available. Several people camped and partied all night. I would recomend camping only if you plan on partying. If you want some rest, get a hotel.

Yes, plenty of room to ride. You can ride uninterupted for many, many miles down river. If you decide to ride up river, you have a couple no wake zones to go through. After that, you will actually be heading towards the old LSF site, so there is a lot of river to ride! Jeff had a band last year, I'm guessing the same this year.

LSF is in Monroe, LA at Forsythe Park. Its going to be the first weekend in May, but you can show up the Monday before if you want. Bring your boat, or catch a ride from the MANY others that are there. You can ride as much as you want, or as long as you have gas money! This is not held on a lake! Its a tree lined river, lots of bends and turns - always nice water! And it goes on for miles and miles.
Jeff should be putting out a Press Release with all the info thats needed very soon.
Adrenaline OD, took me a second until i saw your profile! Whats been happening??
