Floating Dock

I have no idea how to make a floating dock is there somewhere wher u could buy them or do they have to be done yourself?

You can buy them... making them is easy too. Figure out what size you want, build a frame and then nail boards to the top and get some foam or something to float it. I think the last one I made had a frame made of 2x8's and then just nail 2x4's or 2x6's on top. Do a search on google for dock plans, they're not hard to make at all.

yeah first make a frame out of 2x8's whatever sizes you want then you need support joists going across lay down 5/4x6 decking down next make a frame out of 2x6 the same size as the top but with my joists then fromt eh top frame used 4x4 20 inches long attach to all corners (the 20" are used with 7" thick foam thats the best foam to use) it comes very long and 20" wide 7" thick thats the foam you need to put a 2x6 on top of the foam and under the foam with a bolt sandwiching the foam in between the 2x6's attach the top 2x6 to the joists and there you go i'll try to send you a slider box that is floating in teh same exact design as the dock at my house i'll get back to you with the drawing i designed on autocad
