With projected regular unleaded prices to hit $2/gallon this summer in the midwest, that means:
40 Gallons x $2 = $80 to fill up the tank
I knew school would pay off some day. I hate to see those marina gas prices...$3-4/gallon.

hey, where did you get your information? I was wondering if you could share with me, or find out what they're gonig to be like on the Westcoast, particularly up in the Northwest, California's gas prices are like 50-75 cents more than WA.
Thanks in advance

Actually they were talking about it on the radio this afternoon. I'm not sure about price everywhere, but I do know they are all on the rise. TN has a really high sales tax (like 10%, but no income tax...yet!) so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or not. I'm sure most of the larger metro areas are probably already at the $2 level. We are currently at $1.60 here and I live in Rural Hillbilly, TN. _________________ "Spring Yet???" |

gas is super expensive up north here. it's about up to about 84.9 cents/ litre. so u guys shouldn't complain that much. ur getting twice the gas for for half the price that we do. i think i don't know the math but that seems about right. _________________ "stupidity will kill you!"

Hey Guiggly,
You are going to have to post that in US$/gallons. We uneducated Americans (or at least me) never learned metric conversions in school. Our teacher told us that the rest of the world would eventually go back to using the old English standards of measurement. Thanks! _________________ "Spring Yet???" |

that would be about.... umm... 84.9*4=3.40/gallon. i think that's about right. and ur teacher's wrong b/c the whole scientific world uses metric b/c it's easier to change into other metric units ( i couldn't find the right words) _________________ "stupidity will kill you!"

Wow...you went for the air option on your moomba? I was going to go with that option too, but I just couldn't justify paying the extra $60 when gas is so cheap these days. _________________ "Spring Yet???" |

| They have hydrogen powered vehicles, its just not economical to produce them. I am sure you could get a boat that runs on hyrdrogen(extracted from water) but you would have to pay a pretty penny. |

I just realized something: the gas signs and pumps only have room for three digits, so the prices can't possibly go over 99.9cents/litre. woohoo |

They can convert cars to run on natural gas, which is a lot cheaper. Is there any reason they can't do this with boats? _________________ Terminate high thinking |

| I'm not saying you guys are wrong, but we have gone through this the last 2 years. Same exact time of the year, high gas prices and everyone saying how they heard it is was going to be $2/gallon by summer. Deja Vu anyone? |

I'll just stop drinking beer when I wakeboard...
Or, everybody will have to just chip ip a few extra $$$ per trip...
40gallons * 2 = $80
but...
last summer we were all paying like 1.60 anyways so
40gallons * 1.60 = $64
that's only $16 more per trip.
when you look at it like that it doesn't suck as hard.

40 * $2.00 = $80
40 * $1.60 = $64
$80 - $64 = $16
Beer Fund - $16 = OUCH!
