I recently took delivery of an 04 X-Star. Give me some suggestions on additional weighting (amount and position).

i put an extra 1000 lbs in it. 2 350 lb fat sacs in the rear compartments and a 350 in the bow walkway.

wbrumbelow, I did almost the same thing as projectely4, I put 2 350 v-Drive sacks in the rear compartments and then 500 in the bow walkway in the form of a lounger. I think that the X-Star probably has room for some of the 500 lbs sacks in the rear compartments and I may upgrade to them at a later date. Let me know if anyone has heard different.

On a related note, does any know about the weighting for wakesurfing? I have tried it a couple of times but feel that I haven't gotten it set up correctly.

For wake surking, fill the rear sacks on only one side of the boat, and put everyone on that same side. This will make the wake huge on that side directly behind the boat. It shouldn't be washy either.

There is always room for more weight! Throw 8 bodies into the equation too.

wbrumbelow, that boat will hold its shape so well w/ Perfect Pass. One thing to do once you get it real clean is to keep a 40# lead plate or barbell plate in the observers area and make sure someone is on point with shifting it to clean up one side, wait til once everyone is settled and see if theres any wash on the hs or ts.
