As a dealer, all my trailers are ordered with a swing hitch. I really do not understand why this is not standard for all trailers. _________________ Original Boarder from 1983

My sentiments also .. Wonder what Jon's comments over in AR would be ? I would guess that a lot of folks have short garages or other storage areas .. thanks man .. _________________ zeke |

| I still think that the swing away tongue should be an option. Some people have the garages that can occomodate a boat. Other people live on the lake and use their trailer very little if any at all. To put that option on a trailer would be a waste in my opinion. For those who have the smaller garage and need the swing away tongue, I think it should be available to have that option. I mean, come on, its only a $200 upgrade. I only order the boats we have on lot with the standard tongue. |

| I have it on my 03 Extreme trailer and I think it's a great asset to have. You never know when you might need a little extra garage room... I take the swim platform off and swing away the front of the trailer and it gives me close to 4ft of extra space in front of the boat. |

The swing away makes an effective theft deterent. I have a pin that I put a lock through and lock away the standard pull-pin in the truck. The trailer cannot be towed without a lot of work. Thieves will look for an easier target.
I also like the swing away for safety in showing the boat. A trailer tongue is a shin scraper. _________________ Original Boarder from 1983

I have a swing tongue and would have to do some destruction/construction on my garage if I did not have it. Swing tongues are pretty much standard out in Sac it seems. My garage is longer than most on my street and my V210 barely fits w/o the swim platform. _________________ Reverend Dr. Jay

My swing tounge saves me 2 feet in storage space. If you're paying for storage, the space saved by folding the tonge can save you some bucks by getting a smaller space. In my case, the boat just barely fits where I park it at home; if I didn't have the swing tounge, I'd have to pay for storage.
And like Boarditup said, it is a great theaft deterrent. With the lock pin in place while the tounge is folded, it's going to be difficult to tow. _________________ If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space! |

I thought the swing was standard now?!?
Any advantages of not having it? i dont think there is any extra strength from not having it? _________________ www.highrollerwakeboarding.com |

| When I was shopping for a boat, length was a big part of it. I had to pass on a few used boat because they didn't have a swing tongue. Ended up ordering a new boat, and went as long as possible. After my experience, I would personally never buy a new boat without one. Think, $200 now could be easier to sell later! |

i wish mine had it. It wasn't an option. They said they could order it, but it was gonna be like 300, so oh well. I just ended up putting it in a storage place. When I move in may, I may bring it out to the house if the garage is longer. _________________ Go big or go home!
