Do you mean in to the side, in front of your body? If that's what you mean try kicking your foot back more behind your body. |

You shouldn't hafta jump to the side. Maybe you're scooping too much? Give a hard pop with a gentle scoop & see if that helps. |

Try them fakie. Have you got shuvits mastered? If not do them first they are much easier and will give you good practice. _________________

i have to agree with vip...i can cleanly roll away from a fakie 360 shuv but not a regular stance...yeah and the scoop should be pretty mild...if it doesn't go directy under your feet, it should be pretty close...you shouldn't have to JUMP to it |

Just practice. The more consistent you get, the more control you will have over the trick. |

For a shuvit I generally have my feet set pretty wide apart. One on the tail (or nose for fakie shuvits) and the other is set up right on the front bolts. Then just shuv the board into a 180 watch it and catch it. But of course, you may have your feet set up differently. It all depends. _________________

I don't think head placement has much to do with tricks unless you're spinning. Flip tricks not so much, just keep practicing. |

On the topic of shuvits...
Whats it called when you do a bs shuvit and at the same time rotate your body 180 in the opposite direction, 'cause a bigspin all goes the same way doesn't it? I find these easier than standard shuvits but do have to jump sideways a bit to catch the board (in fact they seem to be way easier if you actually try to go sideways) _________________ rideo risi risum

There's no name for this trick. A lotta people have "invented" it & have their own names for it, but until an established pro gives it a name it won't have a common, well-known one. |
