I just got the new issue of level x mag. On the cover is a phot seq. of Jason Painter(?) ollieing over the bow of a Moomba lsv. Has anybody tried this? I think I might be a ble to get the height but I think it would be a little freaky. Here's a ollie pic I found, its not very good. I got over a 5 mph bouy later the same day.

Personally, I don't think it's cool enough for the risk. If you dont make it, your wreck your board, boat, and yourself.

i think its more technique than anything. I just try to push down really hard on my back foot untill I feel the board start to come up then I jump and pull my knees up.

same here. i can ollie way higher when i'm going over something like a no wake bouy. i would think that i could ollie over the bow of a boat but i'd do it to the side first just to make sure so i didn't eat it. just rom memory i don't think a bow of a boat is much higher than a no wake bouy.

I dont either Derrick, but I still think it would be rather daunting to cut out right toward a boat. You would deffinetly need some serious confidence Exclamation

A friend ollied over a fence rail in the water, it was close to the same height as the boat, but it wasn't wide at all.

i have no problem doing ollie 180's over no wake markers but a boat is a lot further to go. speed would be critical. faction has some pretty sweet ollie to rail shots 3.5 feet out of the water.

I was there when they did this shot. Three guys took turns jumping the nose of the Moomba, but not me. I can't ollie a half sunken coke can. Painter got the best shot and will ollie anything so if you see him coming better get out the way. My advice on ollieing the boat is if you don't know you can do it, don't try it.
