Any football players out there? I used to play, and found myself missing the game today. Wakeboarding is great, but it can never replace gridiron glory.

Im a football player, well used to play. Played tailback and halfback in high school, then I played a year of rugby, now im in uni, thinking of getting back on a rugby team here pdq. as much as I love wakeboarding, I still miss that glory...true stu....very true

I played in high school. I was an inside linebacker and a guard (I was 5'10, 190 lbs. I held my own though). During football season I missed it more than anything. I played intramural football, but it doesn't fulfill the need I have to hit people Very Happy

. I don't miss doubles in the August heat, but nothing can replace the feeling you get while playing under the lights on a friday night.

Under the lights on Friday. What a feeling. Mariognarly, I noticed you're from Calgary, what Highschool did you go to? I have some friends that used to play for St. Francis and Bishop Carrol.

No I went to high school in Saskatchewan, played high school and rugby ball there. Going to try out for the Calgary Saints this season though I think.

I played ball since I was a kid through high school. Linebacker and quarterback.

i played football 4-9th grade and never really got into it. i kept with it cause everyone said it was kick-ass when you got to start but i started my whole 9th grade year and still thought it sucked.
i like non-team sports better like mx and wakeboarding. cause you get out of it what you put into it. not what the rest of the team does or doesnt put in and you cant blame anyone else for what you cant do.

I stopped playing football in the 8th grade but in HS linemen were always great to bring out on the boat. Sit 3 O-Linemen in the back and you've got some ballast.

damn I miss it. My days were ended early with a car accident. Thats how I took up wakeboarding but there's nothing better than the hype and buildup of months of training for 4 short quarters of all out hell.

yeh i play a bit of footy. rugby union, just high school footy. i've been playing 1st XV for... this will be my second year. but rugby isn't a big thing at our school so its nothing special.

played tackle football from 2nd grade to the end of high school. pretty much just stuck with quarterback and cornerback. no sport will ever replace it.............

i have played all my life, ended my season to continue my baseball career at another school, but i missed it way too much, i quit baseball and recieving an invited walk on to USC

i have to say that football is one of my alltime fav. sports EVER!!!! dad was a coach, so football basically runs in the family. i watch the nfl every sunday that its on and i absolutely love football season for cheerleading.
