Boardstock in the Soth East?

Why is it that baordstock and other similar events/venues are all out West? It seems there should be an event held in Florida, GA, SC....anywhere in the southeast would be great.

What are your thoughts? Does anyone have an idea of a good place that could handle the crowds/lodging/houseboats etc?

There was a boardstock in Atlanta one year, and it was a total disaster all around.
