Why is it that baordstock and other similar events/venues are all out West? It seems there should be an event held in Florida, GA, SC....anywhere in the southeast would be great.

What are your thoughts? Does anyone have an idea of a good place that could handle the crowds/lodging/houseboats etc?

Agreed. Lousiana Spring Fling may be an option for some, but its a little far away for me personally. I think they have house boats on Smith Mountain Lake, VA, but not sure if any kind of festival has ever been done.

I'lll add another vote for a gathering in the South East. LSF is just a little far to tow the boat for a couple of days.

I might be interested. JC Sports in SC runs a couple tourneys on Lake Hartwell on the SC GA border and he might be able to pull something like this off.

Board Bonanza in Nashville is starting to get a good following. Should be sometime in July. I lost count of the # of boats last year.

Where in the heck are all your people when Easter @ Hyco or Halloween @ Hyco come around!?!?!?! Laughing

Those are probably two of the biggest events in NC that I can think of at the moment. More Easter then Halloween, but both are a must see event. Shoot me your emails, and I will add you to our list.

For a HUGE event, LSF size and probably bigger, be patient till next year. I have this hunch that you will see something like never before in this area!!! Can't reveal more then that yet. But you'll see!! email is info@boatsnboards.com

WakeboardAtlanta put on a good event Sat. night. I'm amazed that many people showed up to a social event. Imagine how many people will actually make it out to the lake.

All these places can be just as far away from LSF for some people. How about in Georgia somewhere so that the FL people can go there, the SC/NC people can go there, and so can alabama/lousiana people. NC is pretty far....

SML would definitely be a sick place. there's a ton of places to rent house boats and tons of coves to park and chill in. if you go to either end of the lake its almost always glass also. i've also heard good things about hyco, i'll be there this year for easter!!

The ideal lake would be fairly large with alot of coves and little to no Lake patrol. Any ideas?

I vote for Lanier or Hartwell. Both are great lakes with plenty of places to ride and plenty of room

They had something at Hartwell last year but I missed it. I'm not sure who organized it but it seemed like it was fairly big. I think JC sports had a part in it.
