Bad enough to get up in darkness?

Bad enough to be on the water BEFORE the sun even thinks about peaking over the horizon?

Bad enough to freeze your ass off for the love of it?

Bad enough to rip through some of the best butter you'll ever get and hear the sizzle of the water spray as you cut through it?

Bad enought to do it all before rush hour, with plenty of time to spare to get to work.

i love this place.

if i had to get up before dawn i think i would, fortunately that isnt the case for me. i would definetly freeze my ass off to spend time with a group of people who also are willing to freeze their ass off just to wakeboard for one more day. thats what its all about.....i love winter riding. the summer aint so bad either Wink

Jeffro is referring to our AM ride this morning. besides crawling into a very wet and cold wetsuit that's been sitting in the boat all night, it was one of the greatest experiences ever. The water was GLASS and there was a little bit of fog coming off the top. timmy, we got up early mainly because we have to work most of the day Sad What's wrong with being a pro ho anyway Very Happy

MissJade,

How early did you go out? I think the earliest I've been out is 7. I know what you mean about the glassy water with a bit of fog. It's like some kind of surreal paradise.

salmon_tacos, we hit the water at 6:45 am....and we were running about 15 minutes later than planned. Embarassed

K-dub, bad enough to wear the yellow "i know what you did last summer" rain rubbers Wink when ya wanna go, ya wanna go! amen to that!

there was just something about it that put a grin on your face from ear to ear, kinda of like being king of the lake for that run...it's all yours, and no one can take it from ya.

I ride at Lake Havasu in the Summer, they get a lot of people from LA and in the summer months we are on the water at 5:15am, they sun isn't even up and we usually get one full rider in before you can see the sun. It's nice cuz it's like 90 degrees even then and the water is like 85 degrees. We are usually all done riding by 9 am when there are other boats, but you know we get the early glass. For some reason Coors Light tastes great at 7 in the morning on those days

With 3 riders I usually m on the river by 8 and ride till 12 then have lunch with the boat on the dock then go back out after our break and ride till 3 we r all worn out by then. The san jac is sooo long that we have plenty of glass even during saturday boat time!

I'm a member of Wakeboarder annomomous...I'd ride and freeze my a$$ off but the lake is now frozen over. Maybe I'll take a winter trip to get my fill.

After leaving the bar at 2am not knowing what we should do we decided to launch the boat and go boarding. This was mid august with a full moon. Then we slept on the dock all morning.
