What the coldest water/temp you ridden in?

Alright its winter and unlike all you jack@$$es that have good weather year around Very Happy

its cold here. Whats the coldest temp water/wind chill you've ridden in and give us some good stories.......frostbite/toes falling off/hard nipples/etc. Twisted Evil

Ummm I think in the high 30s water temp. It was fun at the time but I won't do it again. Well never say never!!

4 years ago I was riding two week after the ice was gone, it's was too cold for a shorty wetsuit. lost my P that day and I found it back in the shower right after that. Rolling Eyes

onthewater, its true that its not as cold here as it is in Canada and Minnesota......right now its about 34 outside, it may not be negative temps yet but its still damn cold to be riding.

the clodest iv ridden is 50 water temp.that dosent seem cold but i live in california were its normaly 80 water temp and 102 out side thats with no wetsuit at all Cool

I have ridden in some cold water. I would say it was right near 30. When we launched it was snowing and it was the only time I have my burb in 4x4...haha. Iam a wuss now and will not go into water colder than 50 degrees.

Your temp ranges are too broad. The vast majority fall into two categories, so what does that tell you? Not much.

Our temps are still in the acceptable range. Have only used a spring suit so far this season. (Just started wakeboarding this year) However, the coldest water I've surfed in was 44 with just a full wet suit and booties. The air temp was 28. We had a really good winter storm blow in and in South Texas you gotta surf when the waves are up no matter the temp.

In the 50s. That's North Pole temps for Arizona.

I use a drysuit but one time I had to help someone using the drysuit get up and I only had on shorts and a Ripcurl core hostskin thing. It actually did an amazing job on my upper body but my legs were blue and numb. But the girl I was seeing at the time made sure to warm me up once I got back in! Very Happy

it takes more than just temperaturest to get below freezing to freeze a lake it would take a good week or so of28 to completely freeze the top layer

When I was like 11 and just learning my cousins on nine mile lake in spokane were teaching me and I was wearing a dry suit in like 25 degree water there was ice nbear shore but not in the middle it was too wide for the ice but not to cold for me. Then I came home and I now ride in 70 degree water in november LOL

I'm not sure how cold the water was but it was snowing on us. That was fun. Wish I had a camera at that time. Oh yeah this was on Saguaro lake AZ in Feb 98

the '03 season started in early march on lake austin-water temp in the low 50's in a shorty. i just got a full length wet, so this year we're gonna try year round. something tells me i maybe looking in to a dry suit in the future.
