is there any specific reason why you are so set on getting a hyperlite board? why not check out liquid force, double up, gator boards or any other brands?

quit tryin to act all bad ass about havin a hyperlite board. though its probably not obvious to you, because you dont know much about wakebaords, but it is to us. Considering that every board you listed is completely different than the other its blatant that you dont care about the characterisitcs of the board and really have no clue what you want, as long as its cool and hyperlite you'll love it. go do your own research, narrow down the boards, select a few that are your riding style (cuz your all across the charts) and your post will be takin for what its worth.

I think people on this site are just tired of everyone thinking Hyperlite is the end all be all (I know I am).
Demo and don't only demo Hyperlite. If you think you won't be cool cause you're not riding Hyperlite...wow, do you have some esteem trouble.
Wouldn't it be cool to be the only one on your lake with a certain board, instead of having the same board as everyone else?

wakeboarder_22, what boards have you ridden?
looking at the pretty pictures in the 04 hyperlite catalog doesnt count as research.

I have ridden Liquid Force and CWB and these boards were ok, I prefer Hyperlite. What seperated Hyperlite was their bindings, I have Parks bindings and they have a softer footbed more support and are far and away better then the others. If your are beginner, I would say that the TFD and the Parks are not for you both are not to forgiving. I believe the Temet is last years Premier which is what I rode this year, this is a great board, anyone that rode my board said it was the best board they had ridden, except for some more experienced riders. If the new Premier is better then last years I would highly recomend it. I used to be a big Belemont fan as well. I would recomend the extra $ for DNA. Just my 2 cents.

The Temet is the new Belmont design
Last years Premier is now the Era, or the NYX if you are a girl

and, DNA is not worth the extra $$...it's only about a pound lighter than the Biolite versions....

Just my $1.50

Tyler*Moore, I know plenty of my customers read this site, as well as my hyperlite rep, and i'm sure people higher up the chain at Hype read here too...

Besides, I have ridden plenty of Hype boards in the past, so i'd be a hypocrite if I bashed too hard, eh??

Not that you asked...
I think it's a gimmick. I would like to do the Coke/Pepsi test on someone with the Temet. Ride it one way, then the other without looking. I bet you couldn't tell the difference.
Most everything in wake these days is gimmicks though... It's a glorified inline skate sport. You ever see gimmicks in skateboarding? Not really. Cause those guys are hard core.
In my opinion the new Byerly makes our sport look gayer than ever.

Magellan, problem solved. DONT RIDE EITHER BOARD! It your gonna say that then be too ignorant to demo them and see if there is a difference, then thats cool. I dont think Hyperlite would spend money searching for something, and making new molds and spend money designing just for a "gimick"...

i give hyperlite props for trying something new, and until i demo them i wont bash on them for being gimmicky. i think that its cool that they are trying new ideas, but only time will really tell if these ideas catch on. i wonder what people thought of the first twin tip boards?

The logic behind the Temet is valid the question is will it catch on with the riders?
I don't think the board is for me, I would need to ride it more to know more about it.

What was the question again????LOL

For the record, YES we do take questions about boards seriously.

Haha that's funny. Shows that you really know what your talking about, now thats an opinion I would definatly trust Rolling Eyes

Magellan, I tried the Temet in Fl, and you can tell a difference. Pretty cool idea, but I don't think its absolutly needed.

I am not a huge HL fan myself. I demoed TONS of boards before I chose one. Don't jump right onto the bandwagon with everyone else, research and find a board that fits you. I awalys do a ton of research before I go out and lay the cash down on a new board. I personally don't like HL perception of the sport, yea they have a worthy team, and some crazy ideas but I dont really dig their boards. I have owned a HL, a LF, a CWB, and demoed D-UP, and I do still have more companies I would like to test out. Try something different!
