|
|
| I have been wakeboarding for 4 years now and i just started realizing how fun wakeskating looks. I don't know what took me so long but i tried it over the summer on this peice of crap falling apart styrofoam wakeskate. I almost got up but only had 5 mins to try it before my set was over. I was thinking next spring i would try again and maybe buy a wakeskate. What do you think would be a good first one, i think i want a grip tape one and probably concave not flat but i don't no much. |

if you don't plan on skating again until next spring, you have plenty of time to research what you wan't and don't want.

| You may just want to get a cheaper / non-concave for your first one to see if you like it. I personally have a cassette foam top non-concave. |

I ride a flat, continious rocker Wizard. It retails for $80 and I sell them for $70. It is not the most advanced design on the market, but is rides well, has grip tape, and is very durable. For $70 you simply can't go wrong. Ride it for a year or two until you know what you want based upon your developing style. Then you can get the high-end board you really can ride well. _________________ Original Boarder from 1983

while the concave with grip are what the majority of people are riding, I would go with something cheaper an easier to learn on. You're prolly gonna want more surface area as it will be a lil easier to get up on and control once you're up. Or jus demo some boards or try a friends board to see if you like it, then go out an get a board. But if you're jus gonna go out an buy one I would suggest a casset linear perspective, very basic but great beginnners board. Good luck and have fun! _________________ www.DoUCarve.com - Everything u need to know about skate, snow, surf, wake, t-boarding, sky surfing, jet boarding, and just about anything else u can think of!
