no, it's a legitimate name. The trcik is completely different. In fact, the mexican way must be used for wrapped KGB's and backroll to blind... _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

the name came from that female pro wakeboarder ... cant remember her name but she was in shaft ... neways u dont have to use that rotation for a roll to blind ... your thinkin of a plain roll to revert .. but yea u do more of a mexican roll to do a kgb though .. and double backrolls are generally mexican rolls .... they are just considered alot less stylish is all _________________ "Worrying is like a rocking chair ... gives you something to do but it doesnt get you any where" Van Wilder |

lilsk8erdude4 umm yeah, obviously you cant do either if you dont think that is the way the trick is performed. when you are in the air the closest thing it looks like is a ts front roll. _________________ "I have always considered myself a core rider..." - K-dub

there's nothing "wrong" with a mexican back roll, it's just your approach and execution. If you want to throw it more like a true backroll, then concentrate on edging up the wake and away from the boat. Look over your lead shoulder too, instead of down. It also helps to keep two hands on the handle. _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.
