landing near a snake or an aggressive moc. is my worst fear, I try not to think about it when I'm riding, but you hear so many snake stories....just wondering how many are true.....couple of years ago a ton of baby mocs. were spotted just rolling around in a ball in the middle of the lake, it freaks me out.....am I the only one..... I found this pic on a dallas wakeboarding site.....this one was found under a kicker I assume.... wish I could do some research on the "girl who fell in the bed and died while skiing" and find out if there is really any truth to it......?

| snakes scare the sh*t out of me. lake nasworthy in san angelo supposedly has a bunch but i have never seen one. it's fun to tell the person in the water that you think you saw a snake next to them and have somebody else say they saw it too. the only time i've eveer seen a snake in the water was the guadalupe river near comfort.

| If I saw a snake while riding that we be the fastest swim back to the boat I've probably ever had. I hate snakes!

Our cottage is on an island so when people come up to visit we need to pick them up by boat. One day I decided to get a quick pull while we were going to pick someone up. We stopped the boat to get ready to dock and I start to swim towards the boat taking my good old time when my mom starts screaming bloody murder. Next thing I know my old man has tossed a 3 foot snake in the water next right next to me. Needless to say I have never scrambled into the boat that quick in my life. The damn thing found it's way into the front storage compartment and mixed up with the ropes.

My grandma used to live on nasworthy. I never saw any snakes. But it's also been awhile since I've been.

| i have a heap of mocs that live in our sea wall. We have a sawed off shotgun in a shed out there just for when we see them-----next time they lower the water levels we're gonna burn them up with a tank of gas and a match. So far we've gotton roughly 10-15 snakes

| EWW snakes are my worst fear! I can't even look at them, that picture gave me goosebumps. When I see snakes I get all choked up and can't breath, if I fell near one I would die. Gross, I hope I never see a snake in the water, that will end my wakeboarding career real fast!

I'm glad we don't have snakes in our water in Cali. The only snake I worry about are rattle snakes when I'm mountain biking. It's ok if you are the first guy to hit a snake on the trail but that second guy better get his feet up.

We saw a bunch out at travis last year around Jones town. I had never seen any out there, but there ended up being numerous sightings over the summer. My friend Josh almost got bit when he had his hand over board as we were idleing into cypress creek. He jumped up in the air and then got in the fetal position... Funniest thing I ever saw. Glad it wasn;t me though.

okay - u think the croquet thing was bad?? (wes will laugh at this story). when we lived in our old house, we had a lil river in our back-yard. and one day, my mom saw this huge snake swimming in the lake, so she picked me up (i was like and brought me inside. next thing i kno, she's walking out of the house with a shotgun in her hand and she goes out and tries to shoot the damm thing.
if i ever go to therapy, i can blame my parents...

Damn, first everyone on here is scared of spiders and now it's snkaes. You people need to grow some balls! If you see a snake, or spider for that matter, give it plenty of room and leave it alone. I can't think of one snake in North America that is aggressive to the point that it is going to chase you down unprovoked. They're gonna spend as much energy trying to get away from you as you are going to spend trying to kill it.
