I've been working on trying to do the skateboard trick known as the "Judo Air" on my wakeboard. Because of my experience with the martial arts, I figured this would be a trick I could master easily. However, like the throat chop, it's not as easy to execute as you'd think.

I've tried using sandal bindings, or really loose boot bindings, and I can manage to pop, grab the board, and pull my foot out, but when I come down I can never get my foot back in the binding. If I just put my foot on the board it slips off on impact with the water. Does anyone know how to land it?

I tried more Judo Airs this weekend and have come close, but I've also come dangerously close to breaking my ankle. I twisted it, but used an ancient healing technique which appears to be healing it quickly. Perhaps next weekend I can get closer to fulfilling my Judo quest.

Sensei, i heard that Da Moose Butterwrap bindings are the best for judo-derived movies. Da Moose was actually able to remove his back foot from the binding and slip it back in when he hit a double up. i dont know what your judo-derived tricks involve, but maybe if you check out Da Moose brand boards and bindings you will have better luck.

If he does land this trick who ever has dissed him so far will be eating there words. BUt if he fails, so what? Have you mob lost anything from it? Dont think so.

scott a, judo moves are taking your back foot off the board grabbing melan? and then spinning but that bit is optional.

Hey, what does being a pot head have to do with any of this?

This sensei guy cracks me up.

Btw, if you're really trying this trick, we should start taking bets on how long it takes you to break your ankle Shocked
