| Rope lenght depends alot on the boat and the boat speed. I tend to go around 21-22mph and 65-70 ft rope. |

Ok, but I hear people say that every kind of boat throws a different wake. Is there a way to look at the wake and figure out a good place to put the rope? i.e. where the wake is approxamatly 10ft accross? Where the wake begins to crest? etc. I know it is not an exact science, but experienced people can look at the wake and make a good determination, so what are you looking for when making the determination?

look at the wake where it is the cleanest, not washing out, and not rolling over. thats where you want your rope length. remember that your boat speed changes the point where your wake rolls over and washes out.

pick somewhere where it is nice and peaky, but not to wide, like 20 feet wide (like my wake at 70-75) _________________ If violence isn't the answer then what is? |

the speed you ride at will have the most effect on rope length. _________________ pointless crew is so insane. |

| i'd say the average boat going 20 mph you should use a 70 ft rope but it depends on weight so it could change slightly |
