| i tried a couple of different methods of bending the pipe. the first was to insert a heat gun into the end of the pipe and plug the other end, this worked ok but it created a hot spot about 18" from the end of the pipe. i needed the heat further up. so on the first pipe i ended up just holding the heat gun outside the pipe and heating the area i wanted to bend. this took FOREVER! on the second one i ended up borrowing a infrared heatlamp from the body shop next door, that was way easier. i would heat one side of the pipe first, then move the heat lamp to the other side and use the heat gun to keep the first side hot. once pvc gets to the right temp it is very pliable.

josh- the shipping would kill ya
jeff- i drew this up on windows paint, since the attachments are up again ill try and attach them. i devieated from them a little bit but that dosent really matter all i did was to build it in sections 8' long so i could break it down and haul it in my p.u.

Thanks, they are the first ones I've built. I think I ended up with about 200.00 in the slider. I really didn't add it all up. i think I used 20-25 2x4s, 5 10' pieces of 5" pvc, 1/2 gallon stainblocker primer, and 1/2 gallon oil based blue paint.
The kicker was considerably more because of the plywood inlolved for the sides and surface.

| I drilled the blocks first then set the pvc where i wanted it and drilled from the bottom. If my memory serves me correct the metal drums are 22 1/2" wide on the rim, so i built the rectangles to house the drums at 22 " even. I'll try do remember to double check this measurement tomorrow and post it for sure. I know it dosnt sound like much but a half inch cuts quite a bit off of a circle.
