Does anybody know if there are any vids of a 1080 anywhere? I definitely believe Parks can pull it but i still haven't ever seen it. They say mark kenney could do it too but i still cant really picture it....Where is the hard proof?...hmm...I think that's the next trick i'll attempt...dont worry guys, I'll film it...LOL

Robyn Friday also landed it at the Texas Ski Ranch off the blue kicker, not sure if anyone caught it on video though

Not sure if there is video footage or not, but WBM had a photo sequence of Parks doing one off the double up a while back.

Parks actually used to be pretty cut up, go watch shaft and shafted - those were a couple of the vids made back around the time he hit the 10. In fact theres a clip in the credits of him attempting one, lands it wrapped - split second after he lands you see the handle pop out of his hand though... it's still pretty pimp

... ok, now maybe after he landed one of them (since he landed more than 1) somebody should have said... holy crap this has only been done one time before this let's get a camera, and harf landed one... ok did he have the handle? i can do a lot of stuff with if you dont count the handle.

jkerce, Im pretty sure Parks has done ONE, and harf has done NONE!

bizzuck,Dude, once you land a trick, do you make it a dpoint to video tape it the next time? Not everyone ride for the reginition(sp) They ride for ths fun of it. and Im pretty sure Mark was one of those guys would loved to ride, and didnt need to get publicity for landing new tricks to have fun...

tyler, no actually i don't make it a point to video a new trick everytime i learn one, but i think common sense should tell anyone to video tape something that unreal. i dont know if you are implying that i ride for recognition, but if i did that i would be very disapointed. the only one who cares about my riding is my girl.

back to the 1080... it's kinda sad but i didnt hear any of these rumors until kenny died.

AS for saying that you didnt hear any of the rumours untill Kenney died, well some where here ( i think it was in the old 1080 thread) that wake (an aussie mag) interviewed Kenney and he claimed to have landed one. Thats all i can say though. SOme one might be able to say more.

bizzuck, do you not understand. Kenny wasnt in it to get the glory from others, just himself and his friends. Im guessing he never told the public about it, just his friends. Not everyone has to let everyone know they landed a new trick. I've seen very many people on here posted they landed a new trick, and Im getting sick of it (im not saying you've ever done that)

Tyler - buck's point has nothing to do with defining Kenney's 'c0reness' if you will. The fact of the matter is that he (supposedly) landed multiple 1080's switch and regular. That's fantastic if he was landing them and couldn't give two shits about the publicity of this feat, but it seems logical someone riding with him might have an epiphany of some kind, realizing this guy's landing something of some signifigance that needs to be captured on film. Besides, can you imagine if they put a sequence of him doing a 10 in a mag - talk about boosting your career. The bottom line is other than Kenney (heh), theres only been one other person land a 1080 one time.

This is normally where I would make an analogy, but no other trick in a sport Im aware of has only been landed one time by one person so I'll leave it at that...I think it's pretty apparent why people are skeptical.

about the aussie wake mag, i seem to recall Kenny saying that he was the second person to land a 10, could be wrong though, it was a couple of years ago when he was i NZ or had just come back to Aus after NZ.. I may be wrong, ive thrown it out now..

it was the issue where he caned the judging and politics of wakeboarding, critical because someone got 10th or something at the worlds when he rode with a broken arm, because the judges said he had "a heartfelt ride" not sure how many aussies remember that,

i believe that he had landed 10's though.. the fact that some people say that theres none on camera because of bad lighting or whatever, thats wrong.. i'd still post a flick of a 10 even if the lighting was poor..

anyway, thats my opinion, i reckon he landed them.. its interesting that there arent more shots of people attempting them or even landing them, esp with most pro's doing 9's and lots of them doing them w2w these days,

hey i can hit 1080's on "Wakeboarding Unleashed" for ps2...but even on the game it looks hard man..you gotta get so much air...makes you appreciate what these guys can do...SHEESH! Shocked
