Anybody has kindof an outline for a snowboard rail? I'd want one that I can move cuz I'd place it on mi frozen river and move it away before it melts.... If anyone has ideas, answer here!

Thanks in advance to anyone who has ideas!

Use a piece of 2in PVC screwed to a 2X4 and make some t shaped feet fot it- as high as you fee comfortable. You could replace the PVC piping with flat sheet plastic- but that could be hard to come by. I would not put it on Ice though. If you fall it will hurt like hell. If you can weld you can do the same thing using either round or square metal tubing.

Man I was thinking- bouncing off of a rail alone hurts enough let alone onto ice after that- good thing you get lots of snow!!!!!

Lol the worst fall i had on a rail was on a kink rail... I had it all the way, but i Bubb Rubb in the landing and landed on the right part of my butt... There was about 2 milimeters of snow cuz it was the end of the day and the mountain had been packed... I couldn't sleep on my back for 2 days... Laughing

i would make the rail wider than 1 2inch PVC pipe. more like 2-3 2inch pipes

is it just me or does anyone else think pvc is a bad idea for snowboarding?
won't the edge cut right into it on a boarslide?

Yeah, i dont think metal edges meeting pvc pipe would work out very well, maybe you should go with metal pipes.

i forgot to say to put the plywood supports on the ends. if u want it higher just put it between 2 picnick tables or something. the rail is really stable too. i might make a new one soon. it won't cost you much at all to make either. very portable. i learned fs and bs boardslides on it, and i learned 50-50's and learned them switch.

You guys def shouldnt use pvc, they kinda flex on the grind, even if u put mid way supporter you will feel it. You can drill galvanized screws threw steel pipe with a hi powered drill, so think about that.

Also, i was thinkin about walking away from the mountain with those rails they have lying around. Would they arrest you or kick you out if you tried that?
