rode this afternoon (tuesday), with no wetsuit; just board, shorts, and vest. It wasn't too bad, just the first fall where you dunk your head in the water was a shock Shocked, but the air temp more than made up for it. Going out tomorrow too. Laughing

We'll be out this weekend in Mankato, most likely for the last time this year. Sad
Hard to believe it's over but it really hit when I bought the Buck Hill pass last week.

Sinkoumn,

Yeah, where do you ride at? I'm on the U of MN campus every day working (not riding though) and when ever I walk over the washington street bridge, I think of
how sick it'd be to cut up that river.

That's where we ride, only upstream from the city, cause the water under the washington ave bridge is kinda nasty. If you know where the river rats practice that's where we ride. Tomorrow we're going to ride from 3:30 to sundown, Very Happy

We're riding tomorrow too (thursday), if it's not windy as all h3ll again like today. Basically, from como get onto stinson, the left on broadway, take that for a long time, you'll go over the river then turn right at that big broadway pizza train car thing. Go straight until you run into a dead end and a bunch of cars around an empty boat trailer. Those are kinda ghetto directions, but whatever, it's not too hard to find. If you go over the river on Broadway you can see us on the left hand side (we run bridge to bridge usually).

BTW, the Buck pass was $265 before Oct. I think it has gone up now.

For us alpline racing free carver snowboarders, Highland is a bit to small (cuz buck is SO HUGE), the only other place I'd consider a pass to is Welch but that's a bit of a drive every night.

I was out yesterday with the wife and a buddy from work. It was definitely not warm.

If you want a laugh, I took video.

http://www.fast351.com/wakeboarding

Big files. Don't laugh, Jeremy has been boarding just this year and I've been up on a board about 5 times. Wifey just got up on a ski in August.

Guess us old foagies got a wild hair up our asses and decided to get active Smile

Diamond Lake in Dayton. Not huge, but close to the house.

I think it's time to put the boat away though, the water was pretty cold. Glad I got one more chance to ride my new board. Next year I vow to get better Smile

Didn't ride today Mad (too windy, plus all the other people that were supposed to go are flakes). HOPEFULLY going tomorrow, but it is supposed to be as windy, if not more, so we'll see.

Sinko,

I ran over there quickly after work last night to check it out and saw that it was a bit choppy. It's cool that I now know where the river rats hang. Are you in that show?

Well accoring to Ken Barlow and Dave Dahl this weekend is it for us in MN, for those who haven't already wound up the rope for the last time this year. I'd be real interested to hear who still rides after this Sunday. I'll be out Sunday but then that's it. Sad

The odds that we will ride again are good (Just not without drysuits). It's not too bad, but the damn wind seriously needs to quit blowing at 22mph directly up the river. Mad

I went riding for the last time about a week ago up on Lake Vermilion. Wetsuits were a must. water in the upper 40's low 50's. not smart idea, but fun. have not seen anyone out either on Vermilion or on Forest Lake.

Sinkoumn, Do you mind if I show up? Will you be off Broadway again? It should be pretty calm with a westernly wind on the river there. What kind of boat are you ridin behind? If you ever need another rider/driver, I'm close, cell#612-290-3893
