for $80 - is that a good deal? This will be my first board. I'm kind of low on cash so that's about in my price range, heh...
Thanks for any advice...
I posted this in the general forum too, but thought maybe one of the ladies has tried it out. |

which size is it? how much do you weigh?
reason i ask is, that this was my first board also. It's a nice one to learn on for sure. I'm about 165 and i have the 139cm (or 140 i can't remember exactly). $80 is not bad at all for a board, especially a first board to learn on.
my only suggestion would be, if it has the large 2.5" fins, to get an extra set of smaller fins..maybe 1.3" or something. Once you get comfortable on the board, switch to the smaller fins. It will help you on learning surface control and surface tricks, as well as edging.
just my $.02 _________________ www.under360.com |

I'm 6' 150 lbs
I'm pretty sure it's a 139 - so far I've been told I would probably need something that big because of my height.
It also comes with bindings but they're the cheapo kind that you just strap on. I would probably end up getting some real bindings...

i think you'll be fine on it as a first board....and for $80, it's not a bad deal at all for a decent board! _________________ www.under360.com |

Hey there, I think that is a good deal too, but also keep in mind, if you have a West Marine nearby, a lot of them are having 35% off of their new board combos and 40% off their boards and bindings. A lot of them are 2002 or 2003 so be careful before you buy, but I picked up my son's CWB 123 for $135 with decent lace up bindings. Cheapest I could find on the internet was $250 + shipping. _________________ "It is better to be silent and thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." -- Mark Twain
