If you are coming around onto your butt on the landing after your board hits, then I think I know what's up. You're throwing it too early and just whipping the move around.
Think of it like this. Think of a vertical line of upward thrust directly above the wake. You want that thrust to go to your hips so your whole body goes up high. On a scarecrow, you have to back off your edge and stand real tall, so your body is in that upward thrust area. If you lean in too much at the wake, or throw it too early, all that thrust goes into your feet & board. So that's why you get around real easy, cause it's whipping you with all that energy.
Try to back off that edge and get your hips up so you can stand tall and take advantage of the upward thrust from the wake. Now that you know how the move feels, you should have no problem with popping, rotating around the handle, and coming down nice and easy under control.
On the other hand, if I'm wrong on your problem, then, um...GO BILLS! |

yeah, what your probably doing is letting the wake trip you instead of waiting for the pop. i started out doing them by letting the wake trip me, and wouldnt listen when people told me to wiat for the pop then throw it, then once i tried a few, they are SO much better, and you can spot your landing a ton better cause you go twice as high and that way you wil know how fast to rotate so you dont slip out. (like all inverts spotting the water is key) _________________ ur gonna eat it bad, everone does, but thats how u get better |

I have the same problem, i dont have a massive wake but i either get less pop, loads of rotation but land hard on a heel edge making me butt check but going in the right direction. the other is to flatten out, i get loads of pop but less rotation ending with a heavy knee and tibia smashing landing. if i take the trick straigt up i can spin with one hand on and land but heavy on the front foot when landing but even skiing away from 50% it still doesnt feel righjt.
i feel really smased up! does not matter how many videos i watch i still cant get it consistant. an example of my first one is on the link below is it the same as whats happening to you?

ya man, exact same thing as what was happening to me. i went out today and i just held on as tight as i could and i landed it! not very cleanly though. i but checked and almost fell back. my landing almost looked exactly like yours did in the video. thanks _________________ Yabba Dabba Dizzle |

| Well done sticking it. mine is about 80% now so nearly sticking them all. i have had an easy time of them when a few people were in the boat. next time out i am going to try it switch apparently quite easy landing regular. and grabbing the regular as the board is "right there" see what happens. if you have a vid of it then stick it on the thread. |

| blndside088, i dont think spoting the water is very key, in fact i find it to hurt more than it helps. I always close my eye when i flip or spin. Cuz when my eye catches something, it'll stick to it. and on a 3, or tantrum, if your head stops, your rotation stops. therefore it can hurt. So if your spoting you landing, and your ropation stops. Close your eye. but i somewhat agree, cuz it helps a some people, its about 50/50 finding which is better for you... |
