| We have a option to buy a 2003 Tige 22I Limited for $35 US that has 0 hours and never been used. Our a 2003 X2 without ballast with 170 hours for $37 US. We thought we wanted the X2 all the way until we sat in the 22I and couldn't believe how much room there was.We will be using the boat mainly for wakeboarding but the lake we normally go to is rough and we heard only good things about the Tige. Any comments. |

Hmmm, interesting choices. I definitely prefer a v-drive but paying slightly more for a boat with 170 hours would be tough. Are you buying from a dealer? If so can they service both the Tige and MC equally well?
I have a Tige 20v and it's been a great boat, very solid and handles rough water well too. But the X2 is a really nice boat too. So this would be a tough choice for me and I'd probably choose the one that I felt would be easier to service and maintain. Both will give you a nice wake with about 2000# of ballast, which might be easier to hide in the X2. |

| For some reason I thought the X series were set up for boarding and I'm surprised to hear that the X-2 does not have built in ballast. Suggest you also be careful about bringin a US boat into Canada as I understand there are issues with making sure the trailer complies with Canadian requirements on lighting. Some people have said they have run into problems at the border without the proper certification. |

| Both boats are from Dealers and are in Canada which is were we are located, I just converted the dollars to US since most people on the site are from USA. Both companys have service techs within a hour from our house. Some of our main concerns are if we flip the boat in two years will the MC hold value better or is Tige being more reconized. Also will the wake be decent on the Tige with Taps for wakeboarding and wakesurfing since its a direct shaft versus V-dirve ? |

| The X-2 is nice, but the 22i is better. The wake is incredible in my 22i, and you can still ski with relative ease due to the fact that is a direct drive. I bet you feel like you have more room in the 22i than in the v-drive X-2! The TAPS system works great for shaping the wake no matter what speed you ride at. As far as resale, Tige is just getting better and better each year. I think that X-2 might be hard to resell due to its smaller size. MC discontinued the X-5 for the same reason. Check out all the Tige pics at one of the previous posts. You can check out my 22i in my profile, and you can email me with any questions about it. |

I would go for the X-2 but seems to be priced a little high if it really doesn't have stock ballast I think the X-2 comes with stock ballast so it may be a 205V with tower and X-2 graphics. _________________ Got Spelling? |
